LiDAR for Watershed Delineations and Overland Flow Modelling ($173.92)
LiDAR for Watershed Delineations and Overland Flow Modelling: Building on an assumed introductory knowledge of LiDAR and GIS, participants will gain hands on experience using ArcMap and the Spatial Analyst extension (provided in a lab session), for the derivation of LiDAR-based surface-water hydrology products.
Participants will explore the concepts of LiDAR surface preconditioning (including culvert notching), towards the derivation and characterization of watershed areas and predicted surface flow networks across the landscape and where they interface with transportation and drainage infrastructure.
